Bass

With over two decades of experience in the hair industry, Bass brings an exceptional wealth of knowledge and passion to Shepherds Studio in Birmingham. His journey began in 2004, and after three years of dedicated study and four years as a stylist, he opened his own successful salon in Hong Kong, which he ran for eleven years. That rich international background has given him a deep understanding of different hair types and the ability to tailor every cut and style to each client’s individual needs.

In 2023, Bass moved to the UK and joined the Shepherds team at Shepherds Studio, Burlington Arcade. Having known fellow Shepherds barber Oscar for over 20 years, he felt right at home from day one — and has continued to grow and refine his craft ever since.

Bass trained at the Sassoon Academy in Singapore in 2009 — one of the most prestigious training institutions in the world of hairdressing, founded by the legendary Vidal Sassoon. It’s the kind of training that sets a barber apart, and it shows in every cut he delivers.

Outside the chair, Bass enjoys a life filled with music, reading, and exploring new audio gear. A lover of fine whiskey and a good sunset, he balances his creative work with a passion for gaming and technology.
