Josh takes pride in delivering quality cuts while building real connections with the people in his chair; for Josh, barbering has always been about the people as much as the craft.

His preferred styles sit at the sharper end of modern men’s barbering: the textured flows and tapers worn by footballers today, through to the precision of a classic skin fade. Whatever the brief, Josh delivers with care and consistency at Shepherds Studio, Burlington Arcade.

Outside the chair, Josh is a seasoned traveller. He has explored Australia, Africa, America, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, and most of Europe; taking in new cultures, hiking trails, bouldering spots, and football pitches along the way. Those experiences inform the way he approaches his work: open, curious, and always up for something new.

A lover of music across all genres, with a particular soft spot for country and classic songs.
