Luca

Luca is a first-generation American, born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Italian parents. Luca spent over a decade as a professional ballet dancer and teacher, performing across the United States and internationally before relocating to Birmingham to pursue a new chapter in barbering.

The transition from ballet to barbering might surprise some, but the connection makes perfect sense. Both demand precision, discipline, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of movement and form. Luca brings all of that to his apprenticeship at Shepherds Studio, Burlington Building, where he is developing his skills across a full range of cuts and styles while building genuine connections with clients from all walks of life.

Outside the chair, Luca is passionate about fashion, tattoos, fitness, and travel. He stays closely connected to his Italian heritage through family, food, and culture, and brings that same warmth and richness of experience to everything he does.
